RecovCo, based in south Wales, has developed a proprietary Rotary Tilting Furnace (“RTF”) technology for the recycling of Aluminium. The RTF improves the yield of aluminium recovered from old and new scrap and dross, as well as significantly reducing energy needs and cycle times. WHEB Ventures joins HB Advisers, part of the Hatch engineering group, as shareholders in the company following an investment of £2 million. In 2007 RecovCo acquired the assets and operations of Affimet, Alcan’s aluminium recycling plant in France. The acquisition coincided with a further £4.2m investment led by WHEB Ventures.
